Re-creating History:
Location Model Sessions

For over 35 years it has been my practice that after all the study and research has been done on a particular theme and time period, a model session is put together. It entails the correct clothing, tools, horses, tack, weapons, and lodges necessary to give the subject visual life. With regular people as models we travel to a location that suits the theme being depicted and there endeavor to re-create a bit of history. It has proved to be a marvelous way to work, providing actual experience, inspiration, and uncommon insight for the painting process.
